WoW Hunter Guide

You've reached page 2 of my WoW Hunter Guide, for page 1, visit: World of Warcraft Hunter Guide.

Abilities

The Ultimate World Of Warcraft GuideAs mentioned before tracking is a nice ability for hunters. You can track animals, humans etc.. This will allow you to easily find what you are looking for on your minimap. You also have the ability to make traps. This is great for if you are being chased or if a mob breaks free from your pet. You also get a feign death ability. This makes the mobs think that you are dead and you will drop all aggro. This has saved me many times.

Choosing a Pet

The pet is extremely important to the hunter class. They are the majority of your dps and tanking. Make sure you pick a good pet that will have the abilities you are looking for. Here’s how to get started.

Once you reach level 10, you’ll be eligible for your first pet. You will need to find a trainer to teach you the basic skills of taming a beast. These trainers can be found in most large cities and usually in your starter area. You’ll need to complete three quests to earn skills in Taming, Calling and Dismissing. For each quest, you will be assigned a beast to tame. After you’ve completed your training, you can find and tame your own pet.

There are numerous different species of beasts in this game, but not all are tameable. You’ll need to select a beast from the following species:

Bats
Hyenas
Sporebats
Bears
Nether Rays
Tallstriders
Boars
Owls
Turtles
Carrion Birds
Raptors
Warp Stalkers
Cats
Ravagers
Wind Serpents
Crabs
Scorpids
Wolves
Crocolisks
Serpents
Dragonhawks
Spiders

Cats are a very popular option for hunters, as are bears.

Once you’ve located your beast and tamed them, you will notice that their skills change a bit. Pets have numerous active and passive skills that will come in handy as you go up against your enemies in the game. Your pet will also learn new skills as you fight certain other beasts. Your pet will level as you level.

An important reminder: although this is a game your pet is like a real one, it needs to be fed. Feeding your pet keeps it happy and loyal which will actually effect how much damage they do. A pet that is not fed will eventually lose all loyalty and run away.

Putting it All Together

By now, you’ve learned which professions to undertake, which weapons you need to have and how to keep a pet. Now, you’ll be able to put all of these together and start leveling up. Keep in mind that as you level up, your pet will also increase in skill. Remember to be smart with your pet and your ranged abilities. Earn and use your autoshot ability to get the best results and stay out of danger. When you put everything together, the hunter class is probably the easiest class to level quickly.
